Doe-foot applicators

Doe-foot applicators are usually used for liquid lipsticks and lip glosses. It can come in many different forms: long or short, angled or flat. The appearance is not for creating a unique look, the shape could fulfill different needs.

Classic doe-foot applicator

This type of applicator is the most commonly seen one. It is named after the doe's foot because the shape of the applicator is similar to the foot of the female deer. Thanks to the slant of the applicator, it's easier to adapt to the lips' shape while applying the products. The tip of the applicator could help to outline or make a more precise lip makeup look.

Flat doe-foot applicator

Unlike traditional doe-foot, this type of applicator has a flatter shape which makes it easier to swipe the products on the lips. This type of applicator isn't only suitable for lip gloss, it is also commonly used for a liquid concealer.

It has two sides, the flat side, and a small side. According to the needs, users can turn to the appropriate side for different usages. For example, for concealing the blemishes, it's better to use the small side, whereas the flat side is more suitable for concealing dark circles.

There are also size options for the same shape doe-foot. Brands can choose the proper length according to the needs of the products.

The slight angled doe-foot applicator

This kind of applicator is similar to the flat doe-foot applicator. It's easier to swipe on the lips because the contact area of the applicator is bigger than the other types. And the angle of the applicator helps it well conform to the natural lips shape. In addition, because it has a flatter body, it picks up a small amount of products, which can help to avoid messy application.

Curved doe-foot applicator

The curved doe-foot applicator is similar to the classic one. With an angle, it’s easier for the applicator to conform to the shape of the lips. However, it is designed with a curve so that it can carry more products at once.

Reservoir tip applicator

This kind of applicator has a divot in the middle. It carries more products at once and hugs the shape of the lips seamlessly. The tip of the applicator can function as a lip liner. Contact us!
